Emi Jay was started by Los Angeles raised Julianne Goldmark in 2009. At the age of 14, Julianne alongside her mother, originated the knotted hair tie, a hair essential that doesn’t dent or damage your hair. With the support of industry experts, including Chris McMillan and Sarah Jessica Parker, Emi Jay quickly emerged as leaders in producing high quality hair accessories for every girl on the go. Its designs have been supported by tastemakers, including Kim Kardashian, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hailey Bieber, Emma Chamberlain, Oprah and more, landing Emi Jay on Oprah’s Favorite Things list 4 years in a row.
