This Jewelry is set with Rose Cut Diamonds, the rose cut is one of the oldest cutting styles for diamonds. It emerged in the 1500s and was extremely popular in the 1700s through the 1800s. As the rose is an ideal vintage cut, imperfections also give the stone more antique beauty. Rose-Cut are often not totally clear and often are a bit opaque, as you can see in the pictures. Arik Kastan was born in Tel-Aviv in 1965 to a working-class family of Holocaust survivors. At the young age of 14, he had to look for a job in order to assist his family. He was lucky enough to get a part-time janitorial job at a jeweler who specialized in the design and manufacturing of old-world gold jewelry. Over the years he become an apprentice, and later on, specialized in design and manufacturing. In 1997, Arik opened his very own workshop, independently manufacturing his jewelry designs from the concept stage through to the final product. Over the years his interest and appreciation of the classic jewelry designs of the Renaissance and Victorian eras grew and developed.

Arik has traveled the world visiting cities with rich architectural heritage, and some of the world’s most famous museums and art galleries, all of which influence his vintage designs. Arik strives to preserve the glory of past generations using handmade manufacturing processes passed on from generation to generation. His handmade jewelry has been on display at shows and large exhibitions all over the world and is worn by many celebrities. All the jewelry are designed and signed by Arik himself!
